What People Are Saying

Barbara Miller on the Consortium from Jennifer Reese on Vimeo.

I see the Consortium as a valuable resource for our congregation - as does the head of our endowment trustees.   I'm just foolish enough to believe that spending money on resources for growth (spiritual, communal, financial) is a more faithful response than saving money until times get better with no help from me.  I'd rather go broke building the Kingdom than get caught with my "talent" in the ground.

  • The Rev. Phil Kasey, Rector, Holy Trinity, South River, NJ

had the privilege of attending the recent meeting of the Consortium.  I was truly impressed with the commitment and composition of this organization.  Significant emphasis was placed on the funding of future ministry and the management of abundance.  I made several contacts that will be useful in the future as stewardship resources and sounding boards.

  • George M. Soukup, Stewardship, Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis, IN.

The Consortium is a very important organization for parishes with big money. It is so important to keep the focus on mission and on best practices for consortium parishes. The wisdom gained from the Consortium affected every aspect of the life and ministry of St.Paul's Church, Richmond for the good. The Consortium also trained our lay leaders to lead a particular kind of parish. I am a believer in the important work the Consortium does.

  • Bob Hetherington, Retired Rector, St. Paul’s, Richmond, VA

It’s given us a way to look at mission and strategy and the call to use God’s money in a more effective way.  It’s about leadership development.

  • Daniel H. Schoonmaker, Rector, St. Hubert’s, Kirtland Hills, OH.

The Consortium is both a "brain trust" and a "heart trust", bringing together some of the greatest minds and hearts in our church.

  • Mac McFarling, Warden, St. Luke’s, Atlanta GA
