Subject: Incorporating Applications from the Secular World
Facilitators: Maria Elliott and Kimberly Mize
Special Guest: Chris McLeod
We Episcopalians do a good job of learning from each other, but we don't always seek counsel from outside organizations when it comes to stewardship. As a result, it seems like most parishes are traveling about 15 mph vs. 95 mph for other more aggressive organizations (which is not always a bad thing). Perhaps now is the time for stewardship professionals at our churches to hear from other voices. What are the latest trends and hot topics in the broader fund raising world? How can you boost your church's planned giving program? Join in a lively round table discussion regarding ways to incorporate secular fundraising tools into church stewardship practices, led by Chris McLeod, Executive Director of the Greater Charlotte Cultural Trust. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with each other to share accomplishments and resources. Please bring samples of your materials from the past year to share with one another.
